Founded in 1977, TOACC is a nationally recognized pioneer in providing comprehensive direct services for older adults and their families. The program is designed to assist with issues or problems that may accompany the aging process. TOACC also serves as a training site for gerontology, clinical psychology, and social work students at the masters, doctoral and post doctoral levels, and conducts clinical research in the area of mental health and aging. As part of the USC Human Relations Center and the Andrus Gerontology Center, the TOACC has a unique opportunity to participate in some of the most recent and advanced services, treatment and research in the United States. The wide range of community services offered by TOACC are not generally found elsewhere. These include assessment and treatment of individual and family problems related to aging, counseling of families and caregivers of persons with Alzheimer's disease and related brain disorders, ongoing support groups, and special projects that provide individuals and families with the opportunity to participate in research projects. Fees for services are based on a sliding scale and some insurance policies may reimburse. Please call (213) 740-3493 for information or an appointment.
